Corduroy shredding, groomer bombing, railroad tracks... whatever you want to call it, the recent stretch of sunny weather has been perfect for carving arcing turns on-piste. With more sunny days to come, we've partnered with OpenSnow so we always know the right equipment to bring to make the most of whatever sort of day it is on the mountain. While the fleeting beauty of a powder day is always something worth celebrating, we've rounded up a few of our favorite "old-reliable" runs that make every day at Big Sky feel special.
Elk Park Ridge
One of the top ten groomers in the country, Elk Park Ridge is not to be missed! Lay your edges into the corduroy and experience firsthand what makes Big Sky's skiing so special.
Mr. K
Named after Everett Kircher, the founder of Boyne USA, Mr. K is Big Sky's classic green run. Dropping from right below Lone Peak Triple and running down to Mountain Village, this comfortable slope is great for beginners seeking to increase their confidence.
Icehouse
Located off of Lookout Ridge in Moonlight Basin, this rolling cruiser is beloved because it features some truly amazing views of southwest Montana.
Calamity Jane
If you're looking for an early morning cruiser, then you will adore Calamity Jane. This easily accessible run is known for being a great spot to warm up your legs before a day of skiing.
