Madison 8 Chairlift
This winter, Big Sky is debuting the new Madison 8 chairlift on Lone Mountain's north side! This new high-speed chairlift will replace the Six Shooter and provide faster access to the mountain's upper slopes.It will be the resort’s second eight-place and third state-of-the-art D-line chairlift. The project website declares, "Madison 8 will nearly double uphill capacity out of the Madison Base, reduce ride time by 30%, and continue to add value to the Big Sky experience for years to come." Notably, Madison 8 will become the world’s longest eight-seater chairlift. It is set to open in December 2024- just in time for peak ski season!
Lone Peak Tram Base Terminal Enclosure
The brand-new Lone Peak Tram base terminal enclosure is going to be tremendously helpful to skiers. It will provide much-needed shelter to those waiting at the tram’s lower terminal! Constructed of steel beams in triangle sections and panels of one-inch-thick glass, this sturdy structure is going to be unique and practical.
Town Center
While Big Sky doesn't have a proper "downtown" area, it does have a Town Center! There's been lots of expansion to Town Center over the years. Recently, The Franklin Building, a residential development with nine commercial spaces, opened, providing an opportunity for plenty of new restaurants and shops! We cannot wait to see what opens in the building!
Blindside Burger
Speaking of Town Center - did you know that a new restaurant opened in Town Center back in February? Blindside Burger is Big Sky's new burger and milkshake spot! Featuring creative smash-style burgers, fries, and massive milkshakes, this creative spot has lots of fun options for those with big appetites! Grab a classic smash burger or something funky like the Lone Wolf burger (Bourbon peanut butter, smoked gouda cheese, caramelized onion, bacon, and garlic aioli). Pair these with one of their HUMONGOUS milkshakes.
