If you’re like most families spending time in Big Sky this winter, you came to ski. Whether your kids are going out with you or joining a lesson packed day of ski school, they are bound to want a break. It’s winter and there is so much to do! With these three winter activities for kids, you won’t have to question if they are having fun this vacation.
Skating around on some ice is a great way for your kids to stay active on a day off from skiing and maybe even try something new! Rent a pair of skates from East Slope Outdoors of Grizzly Outfitters in the Town Center and head on over to the Public Rink. The Big Sky Skating and Hockey Association offers open skate at various times throughout the week (full schedule in the link below). After twirling around for a bit, catch a bite at Ousel & Spur Pizza Co.,
Zip Line Tours
Fly high in the sky right here at Big Sky. Zip Lines are always a hit with kiddos and we have some of the best in America. The first is an Adventure Zip Line which includes one long, 1500 ft zip down the ski hill at high speeds! (Pictured left. Photo by Crystal Images). And for the younger or more nervous kiddos, the Nature Zip Line Tour through the trees including four zips ranging from 275 to 490 feet long and short hike to start!
The Escape Room
See if your kids can work together to solve the puzzle of this gold rush escape room. What are they escaping from? The Innocents. It is a gang that has taken over this 1800s Montana town and raided all supplies. It will be up to your kids will solve the clues, riddles, and obstacles to try to escape the room before being found by The Innocents. It is a real life board game that allows kids to work on basic skills and teamwork and all the while having fun!
