4th of July at Big Sky

June 28, 2019

If you can picture 4th of July in the majestic mountains of Montana, then picture yourself in Big Sky celebrating Independence Day alongside of the western, Montana heritage.  It is a highlight of the summer where the annual Big Sky Fourth of July Celebration is anticipated from both locals and visitors alike.

Every Fourth of July the skies above Big Sky light up the night.  It is a community event where visitors experience the same home town feel and celebration as the locals.  The holiday brings together families and people of all ages for a day of activities, events, live music, and an incredible firework showcase.

Come out to Town Center Park where community booths and children’s activities are complemented by an array of food and beverages.  Free live music and then the fireworks cap off the celebration.  Big Sky claims small town living is at its best with this charming celebration of patriotism and community spirit in the heart of Montana’s Rocky Mountains.

The live music is a part of the Music in the Mountains concert series that takes place in the summertime at Big Sky.  The music starts at 7 p.m. with The Tiny Band playing a free show.  Come hungry as there will be food and beverage vendors along with the kids art activities.  Unfortunately, the pets need to stay at home.  Shortly after the band wraps up the fireworks display will illuminate the sky.

Put Big Sky, Montana on your list to celebrate Fourth of July.  It is truly a celebration where a true small town, western and mountain culture come alive.
